We place our beehives in the most favourable locations so that our bees can fly to woodland, field crops, and well-stocked hedgerows. Each colony usually covers a radius of up to three miles from its hive, foraging from a variety of blossoms. Around Market Harborough, the bees typically find oil seed rape, clover, blackberry, hawthorn, dandelion, giant rosebay, sycamore, lime, and chestnut trees. This rich diversity of forage creates the full, complex flavour that makes our honey so special.
